What Is A Slab Leak?
Slabs are blocks, usually made of concrete, that your home or business has been built upon. You may also recognize it as another name: your foundation. Your home's slab can be prone to leaks despite solid construction.
Concrete is porous by nature. Slab leaks can sometimes be caused by the ground shifting or wear and tear on the pipes themselves.
There are two kinds of slab leaks, a domestic or fresh water leak, and a sanitary or sewer leak. Domestic is the most detectable of the two and will sound like water running somewhere in your home.

- Has your water pressure dropped suddenly?
- Is your foundation leaking?
- Is mold, mildew, or water suddenly showing on your home flooring?
These are only some of the ways to tell if you are in need of slab leak repair in your home. Depending on the severity of the damage, you may be in need of plumbing service.
Low Water Pressure
Sometimes having low water pressure isn't the result of any deficiencies with the water supply plumbing that is located within your property and is your responsibility.
For example, If you live in the City of Pittsburgh Mt. Washington section then your house is obviously built on top of big hill. That means that the water supply to your house has to travel through the force of Earth's gravity more so than other low lying places within the City of Pittsburgh.
For every foot of elevation gain above sea level, you're water supply pressure will decrease .434 psi.
The water supply pressure is lower in Mt. Washington because of the exaggerated distance uphill from the water company's pumping station. If you're water supply pressure is low we can install a booster pump for you.
